Love of Books

Ever since I discovered the Harry Potter series (pre-popularity), I've loved books with a passion, although nowadays I mainly rely on Ebooks due to the lack of space in my small 1-bedroom apartment. However! There is nothing better than the smell of old as well as new books in their original form...! I've got so many book stored at my parent's house, but these (on the pic) are the one's I read the most, and therefore keep in my apartment until I move into something bigger.

I love shopping for books online as well as in the stores, but every time I order books online and the post delivers them I somehow always end up nearly hugging the Postman.

Today I received a parcel with some new books! Look at my new pretty babies!

Right now, I'm in a zone where cooking food has become interesting again, so I'm browsing through a lot of cooking books...and Jamie Oliver captured my attention during my last trip to London where two friends of mine, invited me to out dinner at the new Jamie Italia restaurant in the Bank district. I loved it! So naturally I had to have his book when it came on sale! :) I love that he made this book with the fact in mind that most people actually don't have the time to cook at heck of a lot after a 8-10 hour work day. But if you know what to do, you can still create a 3-course meal in under 30 minutes! Brilliant man!

A friend of mine suggested that I read the Hunger Games and because I'm rubbish at waiting for the next book in a series, I just bought the entire series at once. Very excited about reading those. I want to finish reading them before the first movie hits the theaters. I love science fiction books that can take my imagination into a whole new world where anything is possible, and as Hunger games takes place in the future-that should be entirely possible then! :)

The red book "Words that Burn" is collection of 8 different poets with some of their not-so-known poetry. Whenever I get into a melancholy kinda mood poetry always help with the mood. I love to investigate how people can manipulate words just right and make you thoughtful and make you feel anything with a simple sentence. In that aspect, poetry is fascinating.

The dark book on the picture is another book of the 'Dark' series by Christine Feehan. She writes about the Carpathian people who are on the brink of extinction, a people of Mother Earth.  Feehan writes just about everything from shapeshifting, to wild, exotic and dangerous animals, to the nature of the true love and passion in her books. There's a kinda vampiric twist thrown in there as well. Its bloody brilliant! (lol!)

The book with the couple of the cover is the last book titled "And when the trip is over" in the Regine Deforges "La Bicyclette Bleue"  series. I began reading the first book in the eight grade and I fell in love with François Tavernier and I wanted to live Lea Dálmas 's life in the books. I wanted to be brave and fight of the Germans and still be this beautiful and sensual woman, who had men falling at her feet. I loved it!
Tavernier became what a real man in my eyes was suppose to be like....which I suspect is why I find most men lacking :P....cause they're not Tavernier! (joke!)
Nevertheless I read every single book through out the years from Deforgas and I just love her imagination! I cannot wait to read the last book although I know it will be sad as the series is now ending, and I don't want it to.

Nevertheless I love my new books and cannot wait to read them all!

 Its gonna be great!
